    A new training for the Ugandan military

    An Operation Training Detachment (OAT), composed by 17 French servicemen, 3 US servicemen and 2 UK servicemen received the task of training the UGABAG XXII (Uganda Battle Group) and UNGU (UN Guard Unit) in basic soldiers’ know-hows before their deployment in Somalia within the MINUSCO.

    While the campaign is in full swing worldwide to determine which city will organize the 2024 Olympic Games, the French presence in Uganda, and in the first place the French embassy, is responding to the call and has already received support from many Ugandans.

    Paris is a candidate city to host the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development (MAEDI), a founding member of the Paris 2024 public interest group, is working with the entire French diplomatic network abroad to support the bid.
