Call for applications - Distance learning Masters degree in French

Applications are now open for a distance learning Masters degree in French as a Foreign Language organized by the French Embassy in Uganda in partnership with Alliance Française Kampala and Université d’Artois.

The French Embassy in Uganda, in partnership with Alliance Française Kampala and Université d’Artois launches a distance learning Masters degree in French as a Foreign Language.

This program aims to strenghten the teaching of French language in higher education in Uganda. The training especially focuses on the teaching of French language to people who are need to speak and/or write it for their professional life.

Study rooms and learning material will be made available to the enrolled students by Alliance Française and Université d’Artois.

Candidates
Any student or professor willing to undertake a Masters degree in teaching French as a Foreign Language.

Degree
Distance learning Masters degree in « FLE/FLS/FOS en milieux scolaire et entrepreneurial » (Université d’Artois).

Eligibility criteria

  • Living in Uganda for the whole duration of the program
  • Holding a Bachelor of Letters’ degree for entrance in Master 1
  • Holding a Master 1 of Letters’ degree for entrance in Master 2
  • Holding a French Language certificate level C1

Tuition fees
For 2015-2016 school year: 561,10€ (2.244.400UGX according to the exchange rate of Septembre 1st, 2015)

Application process
After completion, the application form (hereafter) must be sent before August 20th to Alliance Française Kampala to the attention of Claire Cadart, academic director. In addition, a mail copy of the application form must be sent to : courses@afkampala.org

Call for applications : 14/07/2016
Application deadline : 20/08/2016

Decision release
Submitted applications will undergo a selection by a jury comprised of members of the French Embassy cooperation and cultural action office and of Alliance Française.
Université d’Artois will take the final decision.

Once students are notified, they are granted a period of 8 days to accept or refuse the offer.

In case declared information turned out false, the French Alliance Kampala reserves the right to refuse or to put an end to the training of the candidate.
