A second astonishing medal

The second medal of the gymnastic euros, a bronze medal on the balance beam, was won by the very young Claire Martin, aged 16 years. A victory as astonishing as it was unexpected, although the gymnast admitted after the trials she had as an objective to get a place on the podium.

During this finale, on Sunday 19th April, the French girl, who had to wait for her seven contestants to perform before going herself (she was the last one to perform), was captivating from the beginning to the end. With 14.200 points, she got the 3rd place and her 1st European medal.
